There’s been some good chat over at Codestore with regards Lotus’ recently published Notes & Domino roadmap, which comes at an interesting time. Even a cursory glance of the major recruitment sites shows a marked reduction in Notes / Domino jobs. There’s been so much discussion on the LDD and other major Notes-oriented sites about the future, especially with Notes 6 just around the corner.
It’s kind of odd. Sometimes I look at Notes and shake my head. But then I try coding something to “duplicate” Notes functionality in something else. It isn’t easy. Notes is such a cool RAD environment, but that can also be its downfall, as Joe User knocks up his latest and greatest Notes database…
Oh, I don’t know. Time to hone my other skills anyway!
