Ben won’t be too happy: I snuck in those pesky ads :-o. Oh well, let’s see how this pans out… I have got another child coming you know.

  2. I know it's all sensitive and all but I'd be very curious to hear from anyone just how much money google ads make, and what the average income per visitor works out to.

  5. Ben, it depends on your popularity. If the site traffic costs real money you will be making more than that. If the site does not burn any money you will also not make any.

    If you are read by, let's say 50 people, it does not make any sense. But if you have hundreds, let alone thousands and more, then it makes sense. It turns an expense into a revenue. Imagine you would not need to pay for the ride to work and instead get a fare. It just depends how many people ride on your bus. I guess one learns by trying.Volker Weber#
  6. I get about 400 people a day on my site, but it doesn't cost anything extra to handle that load. I know you get a fair amount more than that, so maybe it does.Ben Langhinrichs#
