Just a quickie to say I truly detest the Windoze domain / workgroup model. It sucks. It screws up too easily, and renders machines useless. Just a few weeks after the customary re-image of my main work machine (which runs WinXP) I go to my desk to find that it won’t log on. There’s no rhyme or reason to it: whether I’m connected to a network or not, the message is the same: “The system can’t log you on now because the domain is unavailable.”

How useful.
