I'm now at that conference I mentioned. So far, pretty good, especially the XML and web services stuff I've gone along to. Amsterdam seems cool too, though I'd like to come back as a tourist and see it properly, rather than fly in, bus to a hotel on the outskirts, and just be a conference-goer on my tod.

However, for the next few days my internet connectivity is now limited to 28.8kps over a very dodgy dVPN connection. What a come-down from my ADSL link at home eh? ;-)

Other news: the first guest column at has been published. Hurrah! Thanks to me ole' mucker Chris Molloy for this.
