Here’s hoping

Want to stay healthy? Coffee is a health drink. Heh heh. An Italian doctor (who doesn’t like coffee) reckons it’s good for you:

Coffee contains tannin and antioxidants, which are good for the heart and arteries, she says.
It can relieve headaches.
It is good for the liver - and can help prevent cirrhosis and gallstones.
And the caffeine in coffee can reduce the risk of asthma attacks - and help improve circulation within the heart.

What I’ve always said. Oh yes.

  1. It definately reduces headaches. I find if I don't drink my morning coffee, I get a headache. Mmm.. addiction.Marcin#
  2. Now they need to prove that nicotine is a perfect complement to caffiene, and I'll be back to my wicked ways in a flash ;-)Colin Pretorius#
  3. i had to give up coffee and mt dew. i'm still drinking a bit of cafe con leche, 90% of the time decaf (always decaf if i can get it), about once a week. i was getting chest pains after my workouts. when i dropped the aforementioned substances, the chest pains went away.

  4. Very sorry to hear that jonvon. My habit’s quite bad. I have a desktop coffee maker ’cos the stuff from the vending machine is filthy. :-)

  5. I have 2 - sometimes 3 - cups of coffee every day. Coffee is a wonderful, hot, dark draft of life itself. Ah…Makes me look forward to the morning, just to enjoy that first sip of the morning espresso :-)

As for BAD health effects…some years back I used to get a mild case of the shakes from coffee. A nutritionist suggested not that I quit coffee, but rather that I switch to ORGANICALLY GROWN coffee. No more bad effects! Hmmm….quit drinking coffee laced with poison, and the bad effects diminish. Go figure!

God I love coffee. OK, it's late. Time for dreams of warm, deep sips of morning inspiration and hope. Cheers.Joe Litton#
  6. So you quite like coffee then Joe?
