How to get Xcode 1.5

The Apple Xcode application iconapple have made Xcode 1.5 available to all developers via their developer site. Unfortunately the download is painfully slow, if it kicks off at all, and Xcode ain’t a light install. Thankfully, someone has come up with a brilliantly simple solution: Xcode is available as a .torrent file right here.

Oh, and yes, Subversion support is there. The hunch was right. ;-)

  1. You've got to wonder why Apple isn't distributing these things via bittorrent in the first place.

One of the first things I install when I'm working on a new system is Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ )… surely Apple knows I'm not the only one, right?Bob Obringer#
  2. Dear Ben,

    I have installed vuze.
The torrent on this site is a broken link.
I happen to be having a Powerbook Pismo with 10.3.9 and would like to get XCodeTools 1.5 for AVR development.
This version of XCode is not anymore available at Apples Developer site.
Did find with Vuze XCodeTools 1.5.dmg, but are on computers which do not share (4 dead leechers).
Could you help me or advice me where I can hold of this .dmg?

    Best regards,
    PieterPieter#
