More DXL

Bruce recently did a talk on DXL at the Portland Notes User Group, so I figured now would be a good time to finally release a brief page on DXL processing in Notes 6. Specifically, a wee application I knocked up to export the design of a specified database, update certain elements within it, and then re-export the database design.

You can find the page here: Simple DXL processing. Hope it’s of use to someone!

  1. did you have any luck with outlines? Once had to to do a big search and replace and it turned out that outlines were not exported.SpugXL#
  2. No, outlines don't export as you'd expect. I remember you discussing this on Bill's site (I think). if memory serves, all you get is a note ('filter' class or something?)with some binary and a few flags: nothing that can be used in any meaningful way.Ben Poole#
  3. Just wondered if it had got any better … spoke to a Lotus guy and the said that all the elements would appear at some stage.

  4. Looks to be much the same I'm afraid.

I have to say, I'm not enjoying the 6.5.3 client at the moment (see other posts…!)Ben Poole#
