Michael Crichton, R.I.P.

What a shock, I had no idea he was ill; I’ve always enjoyed Crichton’s books:

Author Michael Crichton dies, 66.

My favourite is still Timeline I think—what about you?

  1. Timeline and Airframe are the two novels of his that I have read more than once. In fact, I think that I have read Timeline three times. While the movie was a disappointment, the novel was excellent.Gregg Eldred#
  2. Agreed, the movie didn’t work, but the novel really does conjure up 14th Century France beautifully. The Great Train Robbery is another corker.Ben Poole#
  3. I still have a soft spot for The Andromeda Strain, although I was intrigued by the whole premise of Timeline.Simon Ellis#
  4. The Andromeda Strain and The Terminal Man got me hooked on Crichton in the 70's. I think my favorite is Sphere. His books are all great for different reasons and in general, all the movie versions all fall short for one reason or another. A great author who will be sorely missed.Dave Parillo#
